Opening
day in the Bristol Bay watersheds begins June 8th each year when these
waters open to fishing for rainbow trout such as the 'bows of
spring' pictured on this page. Other watersheds open up earlier
for other species such as salmon, this usually applies to our 1/2, full
and 2 day trips closer to Anchorage. Other areas such as in Northwest
Alaska might not find us on the water until late June due to run timing
for salmon or historically better fishing once the waters warm up from
the spring thaw. Whatever the river however we offer a variety of
dates through late September or early October in some cases. In order to
find out when 'you' should be here, what has worked best for our client
friends over the years is a call to us and a discussion about your
groups desires in an Alaska trip. This way we can then discuss the many
factors that make up a successful experience
and find you the right one on the right river at the right time for your
groups situation. The call is free so pick up the phone and dial
1-877-235-2647 operators are standing by! Ok maybe not an
operator, more likely you will get Paul the owner and while he will
field your calls at 3 am it might be best to wait until he gets that
first cup of coffee in the morning or just leave a message on the
machine and follow up with an email containing your name and phone
number and he will return your call. For those of you on the east
coast call just before or anytime after lunch as we are four hours
earlier in the day up here in Alaska, We look forward to talking with
you soon!
