Over the last 27 years I've spent in excess of 180 days fly fishing with various outfitters throughout the world. I've taken three trips(2005-2007) with Paul Hansen's Alaska Rainbow Adventures to the Alagnak(twice) and Moraine Creek. Each trip always exceeded my expectations for catching fish, scenery and outfitter service. Paul is definitely at the top of my list for professionalism and fishing/river knowledge. I might also add his guides mimic his professionalism. When you're on a trip with Paul and his guides you'll feel like family.

My trip with Paul Hansen and the Alaska Rainbow Adventures staff was absolutely the finest fishing adventure I’ve had to date. Fishing the Alagnak was just unbelievable, the sockeye salmon were plentiful, and the scenery and peaceful surroundings were just phenomenal. The guides were extremely helpful, the equipment was reliable, and the whole operation was first rate. Definitely an experience I would love to repeat.

Alaska fishing and wildlife is incredible! I’ve fished many parts of the world and nothing has compared or been as exciting as my trip on the Alagnak River with Alaska Rainbow Adventures. We booked for late June and the rainbow and sockeye salmon were abundant. As far as the wildlife and scenery, it was truly amazing. We saw at least 30 bear that week on the Alagnak, as well as eagle and moose, and I have great photos to prove it. Paul Hansen and his guides are extremely personable and knowledgeable. The food was excellent; it was just first class all the way. I would highly recommend Alaska Rainbow Adventures to anyone looking for the fishing trip of a lifetime!

Late June is a great time to visit the Alagnak for a float trip with Alaska Rainbow Adventures. Fishing for rainbows and grayling was complimented by the scenery and serenity of the surroundings. Each day we saw eagles, moose plus numerous other mammals and bird species. Alaska Rainbow Adventures provided excellent equipment utilized during our trip. The cuisine never ceased to amaze me, filet minon to shrimp scampi. A month prior to the trip I'd left Paul a message regarding menu items I'd like. I was pleased these items were easily incorporated into his planning. I am looking forward to my next trip with Alaska Rainbow Adventures.
