Alaska's World Famous Trophy Trout Stream - Moraine Creek

The Moraine is home to some of Alaska's really big 'bows you could say this "IS" where the real trophy rainbow's hang out and you would in no way be misleading anyone. While not long in length the Moraine makes up for it's size in the sheer numbers of very large wild ALASKA RAINBOWS available, you are going to enjoy this trip with Alaska Rainbow Adventures, upgraded for 2009 to one of our Deluxe Lodge quality trips with some of the most comfortable accommodations and best food found anywhere on a Alaskan fishing float trip.

Moraine Creek is also among the best locations to view, photograph and admire Alaska's Magnificent Brown Bear in their natural habitat, in fact many folks actually travel to Alaska and Moraine Creek for the Bear Viewing and Photography opportunities. That said Moraine Creek also is a "World Class" Fly Fishing destination for anglers looking to catch what could be a 30"+ and over ten pound rainbow trout what for many is that once in a lifetime fish.  It is no wonder that the best Alaska bear viewing of the year co-insides with the best fishing as in some years over two million sockeye salmon can return to the watershed that Moraine Creek is a part of. This remarkable influx of high protein, fat rich salmon is why Alaska's Brown Bears are here as this is the perfect food source that the bears need to pack on the many pounds necessary to make it through an Alaskan winter,  and the same goes for the Alaska's wild rainbows as they grow to World Class trophy size while gorging themselves on salmon roe. Come fish the moraine with us at Alaska Rainbow Adventures, you won't be disappointed!.Moraine Bear at Funnel Creek alaska fishing fly fish

August brings spawning sockeye salmon to Moraine Creek and the streams that feed the lakes of the Bristol Bay region and right behind the sockeye you find huge rainbow trout. One of the most famous of these streams is Moraine creek. Moraine Creek Alaska Rainbow Trout Testamonial
