Mother Nature did it again in 2009, another season of
outstanding fishing in the
Bristol
Bay
region of
Alaska
and the rivers Alaska Rainbow Adventures operated on this last season.
Many of our repeat clients have concluded that fishing is the best they
have seen in the years they have been angling in these waters. They
claim they have never seen such large healthy fish, or experienced the
abundant numbers we are seeing today.
Paul:
It was a trip
of a life time. The weather was glorious. The only rain was the day we
flew to the lake and then the sun shone on us and the mountains for the
nest 5 days. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants
great fishing and a mountainous landscape for a back drop. I caught my
trophy rainbow-28 inches and we caught the most beautiful dolly varden I
had ever seen; 2-4 lbs.
The food was outstanding-steaks,
shrimp and crab, eggs, bacon and french toast just to name a few. But
the part of the trip that I enjoyed he most was spending time getting to
know our hard working guide, cook, bear authority, boat paddler and all
around "best new friend" Mike Bianchi. It was so refreshing to spend 6
days fishing with someone who you could tell, from the very beginning,
loved doing what he was doing and honestly enjoyed being with us and
sharing the beauty of Alaska.
Mike worked his butt off.
He was always happy to show me the ropes; and was a get picture taker
and fish netter. We never ran into any other group, except for 3 other
fishermen flown in for 4 hours of fishing upstream of our position. We
has the Togiak to ourselves. Paul, you and Mike run a first class
operation. I am 59 and no spring chicken, and Mike always was there to
make sure I was having a great time.
I look forward to
another "adventure" with you.

Why
a float trip? Well
the fishing is better on a Alaska Rainbow Adventures wilderness float
trip because we are on the rivers we float at the peak of the salmon
runs or during times when availability is highest for native species
like the rainbow trout for which our trips are famous. With us you also
have increased fishing time after all you couldn't be any closer to
the fishing and we camp right on the river at the best available fishing
holes. Think about this, you do not even have to go back to the lodge
at 5 O’clock because you are already there right on the river.
You are more then welcome to fish as much as you like and many of our
guests join us for this reason alone! We can put you on the best fishing
holes, one after another all day long as you to present your hook to
fish in the most effective way from one of our custom catarafts. We
cover a lot of water on our trips much of it where jet boats and airplanes
simply can not go. Our guides will lead you through about 10 miles of
river a day, just the right balance of wade fishing from the bank as
we stop at hole after hole and of drift fishing from the boats. Our
float trips also give you more opportunities for relaxing and seeing
wildlife in their natural surroundings without being run off by the
sound of an approaching outboard engine. The "experience"
shared by a group of people on an adventure through remote, breath taking
wilderness is something that you will remember forever. Many of our
guests return year after year renewing friendships formed on the river
with their guides and other guests they met on Alaska Rainbow Adventures
float trips.
