2015 Guest Reviews ~ Blackburn ~ Goodnews

I floated the Goodnews in early August 2015. The experience was everything I expected. Alaska Rainbow Adventures is a very professional and a top notch guide service.

The guides were very knowledgeable, friendly, and hardworking. The food and camp experience was incredible as well. The fishing on the Goodnews was excellent.

Although the Silver run was delayed, we were still able to catch eight different species of fish, including the Salmon slam. The Goodnews River offers many photographic opportunities. Between the continuously changing landscape and the encountered wildlife, anyone with a camera will end up with hundreds of photographs at the end of this trip.

I would definitely recommend Alaska Rainbow Adventures, and I plan on using this guide service in the future.

Published on Aug 21, 2015 This is a video of our August 2015 trip to the Goodnews River in Alaska. Our guides were from Alaska Rainbow Adventures. It was an incredible experience drifting the 60 miles from Goodnews Lake to the tidal waters near the village of Goodnews, AK. We were fortunate to catch all 5 species of Alaskan salmon, as well as Grayling, Rainbows, and Dolly Vardens. The guides, food, fishing, wildlife, and friends made the trip a life lasting memorable experience.
